CVSS v3.1 |
| filelock is a platform-independent file lock for Python. From 3.20.4 until 4.0.9, ReadWriteLock and AsyncReadWriteLock versions from 3.20.4 resolve the lock path and pass it to SQLite without rejecting a final symbolic link, allowing another local user who can create names in the lock directory to redirect database creation and locking or split mutual exclusion between targets. This issue is fixed in version 4.0.9. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: dwc3: gadget: fix IRQ storm on invalid event buffer count
When dwc3_check_event_buf() reads a GEVNTCOUNT value exceeding the
event buffer length, commit 63ccd26cd1f6 ("usb: dwc3: gadget: check
that event count does not exceed event buffer length") returns IRQ_NONE
without writing back GEVNTCOUNT. Since the DWC3 interrupt is
level-triggered, the uncleared IRQ source keeps the line asserted,
causing a tight IRQ storm that accumulates 99,900 unhandled interrupts
and triggers spurious.c:184 BUG -> kernel panic.
The resulting call stack:
__report_bad_irq+0xac/0xc8
note_interrupt+0x340/0x468
handle_irq_event+0xac/0xc0
handle_fasteoi_irq+0x120/0x228
gic_handle_irq+0x68/0x108
...
kernel BUG at kernel/irq/spurious.c:184
To reproduce, write a bogus value exceeding the event buffer length
directly to the GEVNTCOUNT register:
devmem <DWC3_BASE + 0xc40c> 4 0x1004
Write the bogus count back to GEVNTCOUNT to clear the IRQ source,
consistent with the stale event clearing pattern in
dwc3_event_buffers_setup(), and schedule error recovery to
reinitialize the controller. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
btrfs: zoned: finish active block group cleanup if call_zone_finish() fails
do_zone_finish() clears BLOCK_GROUP_FLAG_ZONE_IS_ACTIVE before finishing
the zones. If call_zone_finish() then fails it returned early, leaving the
now inactive block group on fs_info->zone_active_bgs, leaking its
reference, the BTRFS_FS_NEED_ZONE_FINISH waiters are never woken, and as
its alloc_offset equals the zone capacity btrfs_zone_finish_one_bg() keeps
selecting it, spinning btrfs_zoned_activate_one_bg().
Fall through to the cleanup on failure too and return the error, but keep
the block group read-only as its zones are left inconsistent. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
firmware: arm_scmi: Clean up channels on setup failure
scmi_channels_setup() can fail after the common BASE channel or earlier
protocol channels have already been registered in the TX/RX IDRs.
Route this failure through the existing channel cleanup label so the
transport channels, transport devices and IDR state created before the
failure are released before the probe error path frees the SCMI instance
ID. |
| The SCIM endpoint does not sufficiently validate authorization for federated users when performing operations against the local user store. This occurs when a local and a federated user share the same username, allowing a federated user to perform actions intended for a local user, including arbitrary operations.
A malicious actor authenticated as a federated user may perform arbitrary operations on local user accounts via the SCIM 2.0 or SCIM 1.1 endpoints when local and federated users share the same username. This could lead to user account takeover. Deployments that do not support user self-registration are considered medium severity. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
tcp: Skip cond_resched() in inet_csk_listen_stop() under BPF context
bpf_sock_destroy() runs from the tcp iterator, under rcu_read_lock(). If
the sock is a listener that still has children in its accept queue,
tcp_abort() ends up in inet_csk_listen_stop() and the cond_resched()
there trips the debug check:

The commit that added the kfunc already guards lock_sock() in tcp_abort()
and udp_abort() with has_current_bpf_ctx(), but missed the listener path.
Do the same for the cond_resched(). The loop runs inside the iterator's
rcu_read_lock(), it must not reschedule or report a quiescent state there. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/nouveau: Fix runtime PM leak in nouveau_connector_detect()
If nvif_outp_edid_get() fails, nouveau_connector_detect() returns
early without dropping the runtime PM reference taken at the start
of the function, keeping the device powered on until the next
successful detect.
Balance the reference on the error path like the other exit paths
do. |
| While investigating bug 60718, it was noticed that some calls to application listeners in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.M17, 8.5.0 to 8.5.11, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.41, and 7.0.0 to 7.0.75 did not use the appropriate facade object. When running an untrusted application under a SecurityManager, it was therefore possible for that untrusted application to retain a reference to the request or response object and thereby access and/or modify information associated with another web application. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
vsock/virtio: fix accept queue count leak on transport mismatch
virtio_transport_recv_listen() calls sk_acceptq_added() before
vsock_assign_transport(). If vsock_assign_transport() fails or
selects a different transport, the error path returns without
calling sk_acceptq_removed(), permanently incrementing
sk_ack_backlog.
After approximately backlog+1 such failures, sk_acceptq_is_full()
returns true, causing the listener to reject all new connections.
Fix by moving sk_acceptq_added() to after the transport validation,
matching the pattern used by vmci_transport and hyperv_transport. |
| Improper resource exposure in Extensions in Google Chrome prior to 155.0.8059.39 allowed a remote attacker to obtain cross-origin data via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium) |
| When doing HTTP(S) transfers, libcurl might erroneously use the read callback (`CURLOPT_READFUNCTION`) to ask for data to send, even when the `CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS` option has been set, if the same handle previously was used to issue a `PUT` request which used that callback. This flaw may surprise the application and cause it to misbehave and either send off the wrong data or use memory after free or similar in the subsequent `POST` request. The problem exists in the logic for a reused handle when it is changed from a PUT to a POST. |
| xmlparse.c in Expat (aka libexpat) before 2.4.5 allows attackers to insert namespace-separator characters into namespace URIs. |
| curl 7.61.0 through 7.76.1 suffers from exposure of data element to wrong session due to a mistake in the code for CURLOPT_SSL_CIPHER_LIST when libcurl is built to use the Schannel TLS library. The selected cipher set was stored in a single "static" variable in the library, which has the surprising side-effect that if an application sets up multiple concurrent transfers, the last one that sets the ciphers will accidentally control the set used by all transfers. In a worst-case scenario, this weakens transport security significantly. |
| In Libgcrypt 1.8.4, the C implementation of AES is vulnerable to a flush-and-reload side-channel attack because physical addresses are available to other processes. (The C implementation is used on platforms where an assembly-language implementation is unavailable.) NOTE: the vendor's position is that the issue report cannot be validated because there is no description of an attack |
| Newell Brands DYMO ID 1.5.1.71 resolves its plugin Modules directory relative to the process working directory. An attacker could store a job file alongside malicious modules / DLL that sets the process working directory to the job file's folder when a victim clicks on the file, resulting in code execution at the victim's privilege level. Fixed in 1.6.0. |
| Netty is an open-source, asynchronous event-driven network application framework for rapid development of maintainable high performance protocol servers & clients. In Netty before version 4.1.59.Final there is a vulnerability on Unix-like systems involving an insecure temp file. When netty's multipart decoders are used local information disclosure can occur via the local system temporary directory if temporary storing uploads on the disk is enabled. On unix-like systems, the temporary directory is shared between all user. As such, writing to this directory using APIs that do not explicitly set the file/directory permissions can lead to information disclosure. Of note, this does not impact modern MacOS Operating Systems. The method "File.createTempFile" on unix-like systems creates a random file, but, by default will create this file with the permissions "-rw-r--r--". Thus, if sensitive information is written to this file, other local users can read this information. This is the case in netty's "AbstractDiskHttpData" is vulnerable. This has been fixed in version 4.1.59.Final. As a workaround, one may specify your own "java.io.tmpdir" when you start the JVM or use "DefaultHttpDataFactory.setBaseDir(...)" to set the directory to something that is only readable by the current user. |
| The check_alu_op() function in kernel/bpf/verifier.c in the Linux kernel through v5.16-rc5 did not properly update bounds while handling the mov32 instruction, which allows local users to obtain potentially sensitive address information, aka a "pointer leak." |
| Improper isolation of shared resources in some Intel(R) Processors may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable information disclosure via local access. |
| Electron is a framework for writing cross-platform desktop applications using JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Prior to 40.10.6, 41.9.1, 42.5.1, and 43.0.0, when a custom protocol handler returned a ProtocolResponse with a url and no session, Electron made the upstream request through defaultSession instead of the session that handled the protocol. A cached response could then be reused across otherwise isolated session partitions. Apps that use ProtocolResponse.url, omit ProtocolResponse.session, and rely on separate sessions to isolate content are affected. This issue is fixed in versions 40.10.6, 41.9.1, 42.5.1, and 43.0.0. |
| The sandbox that isolates document conversion on a Kiteworks appliance did not fully confine the code running inside it. Code already executing within that sandbox could potentially escape its confinement and act with the privileges of the service account that runs the application, which could allow an attacker in that position to read or modify application data and configuration, or to disrupt the service on the affected appliance. |
